ABOUT

The AMINIMAL design was conceived as a random sketchbook entry many years ago. I saw a winking owl and a strutting dog at the same time. Something about the simple aesthetics and the word "aminimal" resonated with me. I wanted to bring it to life and share it with the masses.

My goal was to come up with ten variations - each representing a different species from the animal kingdom. Ten became twenty-five, twenty-five became fifty... I eventually ended up with over two-hundred variations over the course of one year. I learned much about our friends in the animal kingdom during the process. The challenge of representing various species in the context of a limited design was rewarding in ways I did not expect.

The AMINIMAL design has come to represent the idea that at the core, all living things are made up of the same components, their parts just organized in various ways to define their role in the bigger picture.

Every AMINIMAL design is machine cut and hand assembled by myself. I use a Silhouette Cameo 4, high quality HTV, and Gildan G500 heavy cotton 5.3 oz shirts.

AMINIMAL is a labor of love and I do not settle for inaccuracies. I assure you that each order is produced and manufactured as perfect as humanly possible.
